I love a good film premiere; as the stars and stylists clamour for recognition you can't guarantee that there'll either be some stunning look or some complete shockers. For British actress Kate Winslet her look for the Los Angeles premiere for "Revolutionary Road" definitely fell into the stunner category.

Winslet walked the red carpet in a dress perfect for 2009's fashion trends: the above-the-knee little black dress from Balmain features one-shoulder strap with jewel encrusted embellishment.

2008 was a massive year for Fashionising.com; doubly so when you consider we only celebrated our first birthday during it. It's remarkable to think just how far Daisy Lowe has come in so little time. While modelling from the age of 2 (a mother in the fashion industry will do that to you) it wasn't until 2006 that she became a blip on anyone's radar. Shoots in Italian Vogue and W, the odd catwalk, our tipping of her as the next 'model to watch', and her work for Agent Provocateur give enough of a summary for 2006 and 2007 for her; year's which helped project her name onto the lips of every fashioniser, and made her 2008's 'It' girl.

Shoots for Paradis magazine and countless other magazines, a mention in our 2008 hair trends, a fantastic fashion sense that definitely flatters her full figure, and her replacement of Victoria Beckham as the face of Marc by Marc Jacobs: 2008 was a heck of a year for Daisy Lowe. And it is thus you voted her the year's 'it' girl.

As if we didn't already have enough signs that 2009 is going to be a lean year, The Guardian is reporting that they will be cutting 200 jobs, most of which will fall within their production workforce. Chanel is blaming a slow down in their luxury sales which is in line with predictions from JP Morgan citing that the luxury market will see sales fall by 4% in 2009.
